WAXING PRE-APPOINTMENT TIPS
TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR WAXING APPOINTMENT:
Above all, RELAX, your esthetician is a professional and has been well trained. Remember to breathe. Holding your breath causes ou to tense up. Exhaling during the pull relaxes you. The more relaxed you are, the tighter the skin can be held and the faster the strip can be pulled, resulting in less discomfort for you and a faster wax.
Inform your wax specialist immediately if the wax is too hot.
Minor blood spotting is normal, especially if your hair has been shaved over a period of time or if your hair is coarse and thick.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol before your appointment. Caffeine can cause extra sensitivity as a stimulant, and alcohol causes blood to reach closer to the surface of the skin, resulting in extra bleeding or bruising.
Ibuprofen prior to your appointment may help with the discomfort.
